Join our Cymru branch and University of Wales Trinity Saint David for a day at the races with a difference, supporting the future talent of the Hospitality Industry!

This unique collaboration between University of Wales Trinity Saint David and Ffos Las Race Course will see Tourism and Events Students host and manage a race day.

Members of the Institute of Hospitality who wish to support the industry leaders of the future in this exciting initiative are invited to enjoy the day with special discounted prices including pre-booked Hospitality Packages from just £60 per person.

Acting General Manager for the day will be Summer Cavanagh, a final year Events and International Festival management student who states, “I am honoured to have been given the responsibility to plan a real-life event of this stature and have the opportunity as a management team to showcase our  professional skills”

The event is linked to all the student’s academic studies and has been designed to provide them with real-life hospitality and management experience. A small group of final year students have been strategically planning the event and making up the event management team. 2nd-year students have prepared the policies and procedures for the event, are now responsible for marketing, publicity and sponsorship, and on the day be managing the departments and hospitality. Whilst 1^st years have been involved in a site visit and hospitality audits and make up the operational team who will be hosting the event.

In addition, the students are working closely with the industry to raise money for charity and also looking for industry sponsors for their event. So please join us on the day to support the hospitality stars of the future as they manage the track!
