HTNG is hosting their first Hackathon to recognize the importance and promotion our industry places on integration methodologies. Many modern-day technologies come together to build solutions for hospitality companies around the world.

With interactions generating useful data for hospitality companies to leverage, there are always opportunities to enhance a guest’s point of view. API providers will provide building blocks, and participants will work in teams to develop state-of-the-art prototypes that can serve in moving the industry forward.

Challenge: Over the three-day event, hackers will work through the challenge of designing an innovative solution to enhance the hotel experience for a guest. Hackathon entries may include guest- or staff-facing applications or tools, or something innovative for the industry!

Judging: Competition entries will be judged on the impact a submission has on the guest journey and how likely a modern hospitality company is able to adopt such a solution at scale. Solutions will also be evaluated based on API usage, as well as HTNG standards adoption.
